7 Tips On How To Create A Valentine's Day To Remember For Singles

Valentine's Day, the day of love; but is it excluded only for romantic love? Love is such a big word and it comes in all different shape and forms, but it seems like the only form we talk about is the romantic one, especially around Valentine's Day. This creates depression, unhappiness and feelings of left out between the people who are without partner and are searching for a mate.

Therefore it is time to recognize the true meaning of love in all its glory with no exceptions, only various variations of love. Love is strong. Love is versatile. Love gives us power to conquer all our challenges in life. For that reason, don't sit on the sidelines and mope. You may not have a partner, but look around and find somebody you love [ even if it is not the romantic kind], and celebrate together the magnificence of love. Here 7 tips on how to start.

  1. Pick a person or even invite a group of people with who you like to celebrate Valentine's Day: Celebrating is often more fun when it is shared with others, therefore make a conscious effort to share this day with somebody who is close to you.

  2. Be present during the celebration: Don't focus on what you don't have, but look closely at the people who surround you and feel gratitude for the love that you receive from them.

  3. Know when you feel loved: Love starts from the inside out, you have to feel it. Everybody's love language is slightly different; to find out yours I advise you to read "The 5 Love Language's" by Gary Chapman, you be glad you did, it will make loving easier.

  4. Find out what the expectations are around Valentine's Day: Each of us has expectation around a celebration, ask the participants what their expectations are, and then tell them what your vision is on this festivity. This way nobody goes home disappointed.

  5. Let go of " how something should look like": There is no standard manual on how to celebrate Love, so be creative there are no rules, and there is not a love police. Do what resonate with YOU.

  6. Have fun and be playful: Fun is often a word associate with children's play, so be childlike and enjoy the party.

  7. Bask in the love that is around you: Stop, noticed that there are people around you that love you. Don't down play that, but really bask in it. This will give you a boost and awareness that love is everywhere and it comes in all shape and forms.

Love is essential for us to thrive in life, but let's not forget that we have to love ourselves first before we can fully love others. Therefore let's not miss one opportunity to show love to ourselves and the people close to us. How did you celebrated Valentine's Day, share that with us and leave a comment. .
