Father Time Is On His Own Clock

It's about time we talk about time. We rushing form one place to the next, juggling multiple things at the same time, and we are very conscientious on how things should look like. If we don't watch it we are like hamsters running in a wheel; not thinking what we want or need to do, but just keep running in the same way we always do, and at the same time, time is passing by. We don't stop and really ask ourselves " What do I truly want out of life?"

Humans are creatures of habit; we love routine and staying in our comfort zone. Everything that throws us off schedule or balance is often perceived as a negative experience. When we function on autopilot we don't have the ability to switch direction very quickly. Plus the danger is we miss great opportunities to make our lives more rich, joyful and full of flavor. By taking time to:

  • Genuine compliment someone on something you admire.

  • Share our sorrow or trouble with a loved one.

  • Be somebody's rock in difficult times , and are not afraid yourself to lean in when you are down.

  • Acknowledge a fear you have, even when you just admit it to yourself.

  • Deal with all the troubles and fear we encounter from our past.

We deepen the connection we have with our self and one another. We show our humanness by sharing our strength and our vulnerable side. Often we view our time better spent on work related goals, our appearance and how to get more successful in life. It may seem a waste of our precious time to deal with the troubles and fears of our past, but what we don't realize that buried fears and emotions will follow us every moment of the day. When something trigger us, this overwhelming fear will skyrocket our emotions and we react in an unhealthy way to the situation on hand.

To make the best use of the limited time we have it is best to life NOW in the present. The past is gone we can't change it, we can only look and deal with the negative emotions that follow us from the past, just to make sure that we don't have to carry them into the present or to the future. Don't play the "what if" game because the future itself is not here yet, so let's not worry about it. Only prepare for it, as good as we can with the information we have right now. Be in the present and don't forget to say "I love you" or "I'm sorry" because we don't know if we get to say those words in the future. And the future......, is only a moment away. This blog is in loving memory of all the people who passed away in 2016, and the love once who would love to have one more chance to say " I Love you".
